RESIDENCES

RESIDENCES

A boutique collection of eco-forward, ocean view homes have been envisioned by famed Architect Frits de Vries, to enrich both the beauty and charm of this central Gibsons location.

BISTRO

BISTRO

This public food venue, functioning as a breakfast room for overnight guests, and as a coffee shop, tea room, and bistro will also be open to the public, and aims to celebrate history and become an important hub of community culture.

HISTORIC INN

HISTORIC INN

Celebrates the friendship of Dr. Inglis and James Woodsworth, who co-founded the CCF (now NDP) in 1932. Their passionate debates on worker’s rights still echo in the floorboards. Six guest suites offer visitors a luxurious experience overlooking the harbour.

PUBLIC PARK

PUBLIC PARK

Named for our first Physician, Dr. Inglis, who famously traveled the coast first on horseback, and later by motorcycle, to provide care. He built Stonehurst to house his family in 1913 –  just the tip of his fascinating story. Inglis Park will be restored & enhanced to provide a thoughtful and reflective space for our community.

ACACIA TREES

ACACIA TREES

Central to our preservation efforts and embrace of history is the work we are doing to preserve the property’s Acacia trees, and our related goal of enhancing and beautifying our “five corners” site location for the benefit of our community. Extending into Inglis Park, our goal is to create a community gathering and reflection area that both evokes our proud history, and celebrates our exceptional future.

PARKING

PARKING

Stonehurst will replace street level parking with a sixteen-stall, underground free public parking area. Forty stalls will be provided on the Middle and Upper levels of the parking garage for the residences and the six guest rooms at Stonehurst Inn. See our Parking Study here. Our design proposal for parking is perfectly in line with the mandated 1.5 stalls per residence.

TRAFFIC

TRAFFIC

Our traffic study will be completed in the coming weeks, and is expected to demonstrate that any impact of this development on downtown traffic will be extremely limited, due to its central location, high walkability score and abundance of parking.

Let’s make this opportunity great together. We cannot please everyone, but we certainly want to try!

A short 3 minute walk to the pier, Marina and various fabulous dining opportunities.

Gibsons is home to a diverse community of young families, entrepreneurs, successful business owners and joyous retirees. The seaside village charm that distinguishes Gibsons is no less vibrant for the presence of all the modern amenities and conveniences. This incredible community offers the safety and security of small town living, with a rich artistic and cultural heritage. Stonehurst offers a “walkability score” that is simply off the charts – everything from the beach to the marina, the art gallery and the entertainment district is within two or three blocks of the property.
